Ok, I admit it- I want nearly every piece from Dior spring summer collection. Maria Grazia Chiuri has the knack of creating beautiful pieces, which are both fresh and timeless at the same time.
I have been watching Spring Summer 2021 Dior campaign on Instagram on the loop, mesmerised not only by the clothes but also by the way they were styled. Here are the 3 trends I will be recreating this summer:
Headscarves– synonymous with glamour of 60’ and 70’ and Slim Aarons photography, at Dior they take on a fresh feel this year. They’re more romantic countryside than Riviera chic yet still remain cool and effortless. Headscarf is an easy and cheap way of updating your summer look. If you’re not sure about silk, go lace or crochet. Pair it with big, dangly earrings the way they did at Dior, to ramp up the glamour factor.
Combat boots and flowy dresses. Bought these Bottega combat boots last season? Good news- you will be able to wear them this spring, too. Dior paired their romantic, flowy dresses with heavy boots making for a tough yet still feminine combination. It’s probably one of my favourite pairing I will be wearing on repeat comes the Spring.
Wide belts with long dresses– I love this combination especially for petites because it create lengthening effect if you go tonal. They can also be paired with either combat boot or with a pair of white sneakers for that fresh, youthful look.
